68 CL175 Air cleaner
« on: March 31, 2016, 07:44:56 PM »
I just bought a 68 CL 175 that needs new air filters. After some research I've decided to either rebuild my current stock filters with some uni foam or try out some after market filters but I hear there may be some re jetting involved? Any advice would be much appreciated.

will this help?

I have a 175 that will probably get similar treatment. Pods have been know to be an irritant to some owners that don't re-jet.
I would definitely install an inside screen though.

The issue with pods, generally speaking, it that you lose the runners from the stock box and it is the shorter distance between the filter and the carb that creates the tuning issues.

If all you are going to do is add the Uni foam to the existing filter structure that shouldn't create any problems.
