Space between frame and tank?
« on: April 02, 2016, 01:46:52 PM »
Hi all,

Any idea how much space there is between the top of the frame and tank? specifically for a '77 cb400f?  im gonna try to re route some of the wiring in the headlight underneath the tank if possible? Anyone think this will cause me some kind of problem down the road?

TIA

You'll be fine, I've done it many times.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

I wanted to put an alarm control unit in there. I stuck some balls of plasticine to the tank tunnel with plastic wrap on top (so it wouldn't stick to the frame) and pushed the tank down. Not enough room for me but there was quite a bit of clearance.
