shop manuals on ebay?
« on: November 13, 2006, 04:09:04 PM »
anybody order one of these xerox copy jobs from this guy?

i emailed him to ask if the quality was any good, and he replied with a pissy attitude.
he sounds like a dick, but claims the copies are clear...copied from microfiche.
much rather get a factory copy than a clymers or haynes for my '77 cb750.

No, but I have one coming. I also have the Clymers and Haynes manuals. I prefer the Cylmers but each their own. I bought a copy of the greater range shop manual from a guy in New Zealand and the copy is great! Clean images, laminated covers, good paper all bound with a comb.

That's what I am thinking.  Bootlegged manuals on ebay, that's funny.

Original manuals on eBay are not hard to come by. I have two shop manuals and three parts manual. Why so many? Bought the first one of each at "normal price" -20-30 bucks plus shipping-, and bid on the others just in case I could win them for a song. Needless to say, you always find a good price when you don't need it.....

I would not buy photocopies or "e-manuals". Please don't feed those people making money out of things they don't own. Furthermore, I believe you can download the manual in the Download section of the forum.

Before it started on ebay i spent a lot of time scanning the local dealers workshop manuals for all the 750 and 500/550 fours, rang Honda UK and they said as long as i wasnt doing it for profit and as they were out of date/print (plus they couldnt supply!) they didnt care!

You might also want to try

or

ftp://manuals.homeftp.net/Honda/

There are plenty of places to get this stuff for free.
