Hello. My name is FunJimmy and I have a motorcycle forum addiction problem!

Have you ever looked at your SOHC4 forum statistics? If you haven't, maybe you should.
According to the stats, I've spent 68 days, 14 hours and 22 minutes of continuous time on this forum. We all have to sleep so add a third (8 hours sleep a day) to the calculation and you might be shocked to find that I've spent the equivalent of every waking minute for over 90 days surfing just this forum alone. What about other motorcycle forums, Facebook, eBay and the hundreds of free porn sites? Now, how much of our lives have we lost (forever) to the cyber world. This is time that I will never recover. Time that is in limited supply. Sedentary time that leads to a lot of health concerns like type two diabetes, obesity and cardio vascular disease. I've spent more time on this site talking about bikes than all the time it took to build my bike. Look around the room while you're reading and pondering this post. Who else and what else are we neglecting? My New Years resolution was to learn how to play the guitar. I even went out and purchased a nice open body electric to pluck away at. With over 90 days of SOHC4 surfing, I haven't the time to play guitars or get up for a walk and talk with my wife. Oh, I wonder if I still have a wife? Maybe I'd better look up from my screen and see.

I like this place and I like the people I've become acquainted with over those 90+ days but time is finite and I've gonna devote more of it to the people closest to my heart.

This isn't goodbye. I’ll still check in from time to time to make sure you're playing nicely.

Happy riding.
FJ

Eh, the time I spend on here is usually at work so what can I say?  ;)
If I look at home it is usually to look up some info to help me with a problem I have on my bike.

FJ,  a lot of those hours are just time the computer was on.  My stats say more than 98 days but I know that is not actual time I am on the site as I most always have a tab with sohc open...Larry

 FunJimmy,
Some believe  in destiny, some believe we can change our destiny. How are we to know that if we try to change our path, in the belief that this path was our destiny, that this change was also predetermined therefore making this too, destiny.
If this is true Grasshopper, is this "problem" not your destiny? Or , is it your destiny that is the problem?
Too much time online? You do what you do, cause that's what you do.

To be truely enlightened, you must be at one with the reality that you are what you are, you do what you do, it is what it is, and this forum may be your destiny.
There. instant enlightenment. What will FunJimmy post tomorrow?

Why wait till tomorrow when I'm addicted today. You think I could actually go 24 hours without a fix? Really?  ;D

Glad your back.

You know, some of us sometimes have the same thoughts, then we somehow justify it or just blow it off!
