Can riding jeans be altered?

  I've been searching I can't get a clear answer. Most searches refer to just hemming the cuffs.

Most Kevlar lined jeans fit me like '80's mom jeans. Can they safely be altered? Taken up a little in the waist and legs/thigh area?

Specifically, the Cortech  Mod jeans, but this really applies to all brands.

I'm sure it depends on the brand, you mentioned one I've never worn, but the Diamond Gusset's that I wear can be tailored.  The Kevlar lining is nothing a good tailor couldn't handle and the jean is just jeans.

I've had two pairs of Kevlar woven-in denim jeans altered (on the hem) -- ICON Rouser jean and Saint jean.  The ICON denim was pretty heavy and my tailor said it required a pretty strong needle.  The Saint denim is strong but lightweight and was much easier to cut and stitch.

Interesting. Pretty damn similar to some manufacturers, but you can use jeans that you already know fit.  That said, they better have enough room for the extra layer of Kevlar and the D30 armor.  No skinny hipster jeans!
