Cheap TEC Points

I ordered 3 sets of new OEM TEC points, 1-4 and 2-3 on ebay for $50 shipped - got them in 2 days. There was an issue w/one point - seller was very responsive and sent another right away w/no hassle.  Just based on customer service I told him I'd put in a plug here, and the price is a steal considering my Honda dealer didn't have them in stock last time I checked and they were $27 per single point.  Glad I waited.

Mods, please move this if would be better off in the ebay section, but I was thinking as it's more of a general maintenance item, it might reach more people in this forum.

I ordered last night when I first saw this post. I only have the one CB750 at the moment so I guess I'll have to get 3 more SOHCs to put these points in. Darn.  ::)

All buyers in this thread? ;) I had to buy too thanks to this thread I found this morning while working.
Having a CB750 and similar means that parts must be purchased not only when  needed, have to buy while still available.

When Hondaman's detailed thread on the Daichii's was posted a while back, I scooped up three used plates off ebay for $30, and salvaged parts.  One points set were NDs, and the other two were TECs.  I cleaned & filed them, and tucked them away.
Im using the ND's + HM's ignition module.

Yep, they fit fine. The OEM points in the old Honda parts manuals (-333- middle number) had slightly lighter springs. By 1976, Honda had switched the partnumber for the 350F and 400F to be the same as the 750/500/550 fours.

That's exactly what I did for the original test unit: it ran 6 years with the ND baseplate and much-bent-to-fit Daiichi Chinese points. I finally got tired of the uneven engine around 2000 RPM and changed to TEC points in 2013, and am really enjoying the smooth ride!
