CX500 wheels on a CB500
« on: November 13, 2006, 04:00:51 PM »
I picked up the '81 CX500 today for pretty cheap. It needs a substantial amount of attention in order to make it road ready again, so I probably will part it out.

Looking at those cast wheels made me wonder. Can they be used on a CB500? Would there be a substantial amout of modification or fork adaptation to do so?

Thanks again

Not without the complete front end as calipers and discs are different! and rear is a shaft drive so LOTS of mods

Rear wheel isnt too bad but you have to get the bevel box from rear end and strip it down to get the splined drive out then fit a sprocket to it. I may be able to get pics of a CB750 chop with Kawasaki shaft drive wheels. I'll see what I can do.
