Do I need this part in my front brake?
« on: April 15, 2016, 04:26:58 AM »
Hi everyone, I bought a new front caliper piston and it does not have a cap over the hollow cavity.  My original piston does.  If I do need this part could I just  pop it off my old piston and tap it onto the new one?

I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

its a small dome cap that fits over the hollow of the caliper piston.
allows for some rocking of the brake pad for flush rotor contact
