New member, long time owner
« on: April 18, 2016, 12:33:13 AM »
Hi. I've owned the same CB550K3 (Harry) for 30 years but, sadly, it's not been used for the last 20 and is now looking pretty neglected. I'm now planning to resurrect the old girl to sit alongside my other bikes (Kawasaki ZRX1200, BMWF800GS and Suzuki Katana 750)

I owned one other CB550 before the present one, although that lasted for about 3 months before a car driver 'didn't see me' - or a lampost, or a wall. The compensation from that accident paid for Harry and, later, a Moto Guzzi LeMans

Howdy! :)
You got a new bike and named him Harry.
You loved Harry, you went everywhere together, nothing could replace Harry.
Then one day you saw the Moto Guzzi and you parked Harry!

Maybe it's in the blood. I scraped so many knuckles adjusting tappets, changing oil filters and and removing carbs that there's probably a lot of CB550 running around my bloodstream  ;D

They're CMA 5-spokes (they were on the bike when I bought it)

Thanks, I invested in those a long time ago. It's even easier to invest in a mechanic  ;)

Nice! You could just about buy a bike with what those are worth now.
