Cb650 engine identification
« on: April 19, 2016, 11:11:42 AM »
Hey guys

I am having a Little trouble figuring Out what year my cb650 is from. The tank and exhaust looks like it's from 79, but the engine has the number RC03E-222979.

Is that correct?

Those look like 81-82 carbs.  Hard to see because of the side covers, but I am pretty sure that they are the CV carbs from 81-82.  The spacing is different, so they won't bolt up to a 79-80 head.  Looks like it has been changed at some point.

*edit   enlarged the pic.  Those are definitely CV carbs.  81-82 engine, for sure.
