Tuning mixture screws

I am making final adjustments on my cb750k7 before my maiden voyage after a two year restoration.  The timing is adjusted and carbs are synced.  I'm wanting to fine tune the mixture but am unclear of the process.  The bike runs pretty good at the suggested 1.5 turns out.  It fine tune do you adjust one carb at a time until you observe a change in idle or tweak all 4 at a time, bit by bit?  The manual suggests you aim for the highest possible idle.  So too lean or two rich and it will stumble? Am I just aiming for a sweet spot? Lots of questions in one paragraph there, sorry.  Thanks in advance for any advice given.

That high idle, etc, is really hard to find by ear.

Go by plug colour.

Get the bike nice and warmed up with a fan running in front of it. Then shut it off and put a FRESH set of plugs in. Let it idle for a few minutes, and then take the plugs out. See what colour they are. Should be a dark tan. This is a good idle mixture. 0

White = lean
Black = rich
Tan = just right
