HELP. Where does this go?

Just got back from riding around town and then when I got home, I noticed the rubber tube from the top cylinder area wasn't connected to anything and was just sitting there (maybe it got loose?)

Is this the oil tube? I think I know where it goes but its an inch too short. Was this tube not routed properly? i tried searching and looking at manuals but could not find anything on where it goes and the route to put it through.

EDIT - not sure why the website rotated the pictures I took. They are oriented the correct way when I downloaded them

Looks like the crankcase ventilation tube and should go to the air box.  Maybe. I think.

yes, it is the crank case vent tube.
I dont know the 500/550's well enough to say if it connects to the airbox or to a separator unit.....sorry

There is an intake at the top of the airbox for it.

The area you have circled in your last picture is exactly where it goes. However, it's routed wrong. It's supposed to go between the #3 and #4 intake manifolds, not the airbox side.
