DIY
« on: April 26, 2016, 06:00:46 PM »
Hey all just wanting to see if there are some DIY instructions for taking the front and rear wheels off a 78 cb550? It seems as though most things on the 550 are straight forward. I will need to replace the 80s rubber on my bike and just want to make sure there aren't any tricks and see if anyone had any tips for removal that will make installing easy. Thanks!

It sure helps to have a front end stand  - like the pitbull front and rear race stands I have.  Otherwise it's a jiggly sort of thing you have to deal with  - being careful not to tip it over... etc.
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.
