Yeah, I wouldn't try to talk you out of one Danny, after I read this thread I went looking for RE's on eBay and they really are a good looking bike, and I think the 535cc engine with EFI will be a bit quicker than Bullets. I just like that Guzzi, it's the last of the wire wheel bikes, and would be a superb sports tourer. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I'm not the only one that ticks the Continental GT looks great. Pimpzilla gave one a sit today too.

Probably a little late to the party, but, my buddy has an one.  His is black.   He loves it and has put around 17k miles on it since he bought it.  It is his only method of transportation.   Has had zero problems.

However... I don't know about your neck of the woods, but down here you can buy a CB1100 with very, very low mileage for the same $6000.   They did not sell very well - only the old CB guys bought them.  I've yet to see one with high mileage.   Lots of bike for $6k.

Or, one of my budget restos. ;)
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

True, but the appeal of the RE was brand new with 0% interest, so almost nothing up front. A $6k CB1100 mean either $6k out of pocket or interest.
