nice one, but people like barry sheene, gary nixon, james hunt raced hard and also partied hard :) I think that valentino rossi still does....

We all can remember racers back in the day that charged hard on & off the track. Life in the fast lane baby. Mike can name a few of those.  ;) Today is tame in comparison!

Racing...it's kind of what attracted me to motorcycles in the first place.

Boy I know who that is. I spoke with him at the old Sears Point when he was riding a Vance and Hines Ducati. Rob Muzzy said he was the most naturally gifted rider he ever saw and that is saying something. To bad.

 It's not a bike but Roger Rager  bought a 2 year old indy car and  built a small block Chevy stock block engine that was taken out of an old school bus. He towed it to the track on an open trailer behind a station wagon in 1980. Not only qualified ahead of several veterans but led the race before another car spun in front of him and he hit the wall finishing 23rd.
