CB750 K4 chain length -smaller front sprocket

  Ok been a while since I posted. Bike has been on hold. Getting ready to buy a few things to finish up -one is a front sprocket. Been thinking of going down a tooth to a 17.  Question- using stock size 48 rear with the 17 front will I need a shorter chain? TIA Bob

1 tooth shouldn't require a shorter chain, but it depends how stretched your current chain is.

100 links chain is perfect for your bike. 17 or 18, 48 rear.
The modern o/x-ring chains do not stretch as the old weak chains.
