Confused on oil supply to kickstarter
« on: May 15, 2016, 08:41:49 AM »
Hey guys, kind of fisbig in the dark here, I've seen online some 750's that has a pan or dish that helps with oil flowing into the kickstarter (hope you guys know what I'm talking about). My question, I have a k6, and that dish was definitly not present in my bike. I'm assuming that means I don't need it, but does anyone know the history on this part?

That dish was for the automatic chain oiler that was discontinued for the 1976 model. Most folks remove them when doing a total rebuild, nothing to do with the kickstart.  Your bike is fine and normal  ;)

I agree with what you said Ekpent.....but what does that have to do with the kick start?
Not criticizing....just curious.

Thanks
