i'm loking at changing the exhaust on my 78 550 because the previous owner simply modify the oem one
by turning it into a 4-2... now the center stand hit the muffler and srcape when i turn hard...

i'm looking at the oem 4-1 from a SS model. will it perform well after a rejet? or does anyone have other choice for me?
i'm not looking for something too expensive, i may heat wrap it if the chrome is not good

i'll put pods next summer to go with ot along with the rejet.

any starting point for the set up so i can order jets?

Wont fit straight on as the frame mounting points are different, you will have to make/modify a mounting to include a stand stop

stock pipes are heavy - why not just go aftermarket? Probably cost you less in the end too. I am not fond of mac pipes but they are still lighter than OEM.
