I just got force upgraded!

What is this crap?  I never asked to be updated to Windows 10 - I liked Windows 7.

None of the emoticons work either?

Windows 10 blows.  Windows 7 Enterprise is fairly stable.

Unless it is Win 10 Professional,  I don't believe you can turn updates off. For the lesser variants of Win 10, they are forcibly automatic.

It seems like Microsoft and Apple have lost their ability to truly improve their software.  They just make long ass code that requires faster processors.  Planned obsolescence.

Then make sure you use Internet Explorer not Edge.. Edge is launched by default. If you do not see a  yellow smiley in the top right of your browser your not using IE11

Dang sight better than Edge.  About half of the web pages I frequent simply don't work under Edge.

Worse, they hide IE.  I still haven't found it.

If Windows 10 is stable and runs my apps then I'll stop complaining (for now!), but I never asked to be updated and certainly never asked to have Candy Crush and Twitter (plus a few other wastes of life) installed.  The least they could have done is asked me before doing the install.  Secretly downloading the OS onto my computer then installing it when I least expected it is flat out rude.

I am going to Linux at the next update I do.uuu

There are other browsers out there.

Smileys on this site work fine with Firefox on Win10 for example.

If you reinstall windows 7 then you can shut off updates

This is because the Windows 10 upgrade is considered "Mandatory" and people who have Windows update configured to download all updates no matter what are falling into this conundrum.
