Topic: 3rd Gear Chop

I wanted to get some expert opinions. I attempted to perform a plug chop in 3rd gear full throttle. The plugs haven't had to many miles on them. I'd say less than 50 since bringing her back to life. I wanted to see what if any thing I should do in the way of richen or leaning. I've got stock airbox and a 4into1 delkevic exhaust. Carbs are stock as well with I believe 90 mains and 38 slows.

#2 looks to been slightly leaner than the other 3.  Maybe a 1/8 turn out and that's all I'd do!

Cause your plugs look very normal.

Plug pictures should be in a well-lit area, without flash, and with all four plugs in the same pic. Differences in distance from one pic to another along with a flash that washes out the pics makes it pretty hard to read plugs. Don't shoot the messenger.

From the lighting of that pic they all look too lean. They should be a light tan color if running correctly.
How many miles are you putting on it before doing the chop?

Lean, across the board.
Install 100 mains and retest.  Dont make any other changes.  (its only .10 mm bigger)
The thing to remember about WOT plug chops.  If you plan to spend a LOT of time at WOT, then get it perfect. Light tan plugs.

If only on occasion when opportunity arises, then just get it close....and by close, i mean be on the rich side.
It'll make tuning needle position that much easier.
