Underground railroad VA to NC?
« on: May 21, 2016, 05:11:03 AM »
Long shot but I will ask anyway.  Anybody traveling North to South in the area?  I have a set of Shoei luggage + brackets for a forum member in NC, just giving it away.  That stuff is pain to wrap and likely expensive to ship, anybody has travel plans?  I am able to take it as far as Richmond.

Where is it going? I'm heading to Spotsylvania tomorrow, and NC/SC within a week.

Statesville, NC 28625 is the destination .

I live about 30 minutes north of statesville if you don't feel like driving all the way Cal, I could meet you above Mount Airy near the state line.

LOL! 30 extra minutes in the car for me is like 1 extra scratch on your butt when you have an itch. Might as well as long as you're there... However, I'd be happy to cross paths and by you a coffee or spot of lunch. I'd likely be heading on down to Charlotte (or back from) so the stopover to Statesville is no inconvenience. And it looks like the recipient works the Night shift, so daytime drop off will be quite easy.

I'll drop you a PM as I head down. I will be riding down to Rockingham for the June 11-12 races, so we should definitely get up then. You going? 85 Southbound from Durham is under heavy construction until about Burlington, so 77 will be my route for the summer. Especially on a bike.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to Rockingham, but I wish I could. Haven't been there in almost 5 years! I'll be driving back from Pittsburgh that Friday night and won't get in till around 3 a.m. Saturday morning. But defintely shoot me a PM when you head down, 77 passes right by Elkin (where I live) and we could easily meet up one day.
