Twas the night before game time,
And all around the shoe,
Not a creature was sleeping,
They were screaming Beat Blue!

The banners were hung by the lamp posts with care,
In hopes that St. Troy would find Ginn through the air,
Drunken and crazy and burning their beds,
While visions of kick off danced through their heads.

When all of a sudden there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the keg to see what was the matter.
When there in the sky, in a Coupe Deville sleigh,
Was Woody Hayes decked out in scarlet & gray.

He looked on the crowd that was gathered around,
And said that he heard that a game was in town.
I came here to watch it and wish you good luck,
Though it's not like you need it, cause Michigan SUCKS!

GO BUCKS!!!

What horrible news!!

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- Former Michigan coach Bo Schembechler died on Friday, hours after collapsing during the taping of a college football show, according to a Detroit radio station.

Schembechler was 77.

Schembechler was in the WXYZ-TV studios taping the "Big Ten Ticket" telecast when he became ill, WDFN-AM radio reported.

Last month, the 77-year-old Schembechler had a pacemaker and defibrillator installed after he had dizziness and other symptoms while taping his weekly television show.

On Monday, Schembechler addressed the media in Ann Arbor about Saturday's game between No. 2 Michigan and No. 1 Ohio State. He said that he was not planning to attend Saturday's game, NBC 4 reported.

Watch NBC 4 and refresh nbc4i.com for additional information.

Even though i'm not a fan of the team in blue..........Bo was a class act!!

"This is an extraordinary loss for college football," Ohio State coach Jim Tressel said in a statement. "Bo Schembechler touched the lives of many people and made the game of football better in every way. He will always be both a Buckeye and a Wolverine and our thoughts are with all who grieve his loss."

-- LARRY LAGE, AP Sports Writer

Can't think of a better way to say it than that. Very sad.

Wait 'til next year. ;)

Great game, sadly  ;), the best team won. Not sure about all this talk of a rematch for the Nat'l though. We did beat the line by 4 points though. ;D If someone had told me before the game that there would be an aggregate total of 80 points or so scored in the game, I would told them they were crazy.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Well, I think they are the 2 best teams and I think they both deserve to play for the championship. But USC has 2 games left and the BCS computers have them behind Michigan by a very narrow margin. I'd prefer OSU vs. USC only because I don't think my ticker could handle another game like Saturday's.  :D Then again, if the Bucks beat Mich. again, the bragging rights would be even sweeter!

I couldn't stand Bo (or Woody)...they were great coaches, but often got WAAAY to competitive, and forgot about good sportsmanship....Ok, I'm a Michigan State fan (yeah, yeah, I know, but when State went to the Rose Bowl in '87, They won, and I was there!)....Even so, I think it was incredible irony that Bo died the day before the game! Must be Woody's last trick! If only he could have held on for a few more days....Good game though...

But if Mich. wins, then what? Does it nulify the win this weekend? One thing for sure, if Mich. were to win in the Nat'l rematch, can you imagine what things would be like at next year's OSU/Mich. game? :o Of course, it would be in Ann Arbor though. ;D
