I am thinking of ways I can give back and contribute to the SOHC4.net community.  After all does take money to keep the servers up and running.

I am dabbling with the idea of having a vintage motorcycle podcast.  So many amazing members here, and I would like to help tell their story.  Interested in interviewing fabricators, bike builders and people who just like to ride.

As part of that I want to have a resource page with the most commonly used parts and donate 50% of the referral fee back to the forum.  Most sites offer 3% to 7.5% fee for referrals.  It is not a ton of money, but maybe it would help offset some of the cost to keep SOHC4.net up and running.

The nice part is that it does not cost members any extra as referral fees are already priced into the sale.  We pay them whether or not the site benefits.

The sites would be ones we are already from anyway ie. Ebay, Amazon.com, Motorcycle Superstore etc..

It will take quite a bit of work on my part to keep the list updated.  I would be interested in hearing what you guys think of this idea.

What's the secret? Tucows? FBI investigation?
Inquiring minds want to know.

I don't know how difficult it is to find out. I learned via a PM, and we generally do not reveal the contents of PM's (that's why they are private messages, after all) on the publicly-viewed forums. That's why I am not posting it here in response.  If you really want to know, I suppose you could ask a Global Moderator.

Who would have thought that the ownership of the forum would be so secretive?

I don't really think it is.

His name is Glenn, he's a great guy. i certainly don't speak for him, but I can tell you he runs this for love and not money. And if you like this excellent site and community you can keep the lights on for a day, week or month with a donation here:

I was going to throw out this hint:  http://www.sohc.co.uk/

Nils hit it on the head.  Glenn generously provides us all with a great community.  Give back a little if you can, and knowing what members spend on parts, you can.
