How long is the oil dipstick?

After rebuilding the MC and then the front brake caliper I took the old girl for a ride.  When I returned I saw that the oil cap was missing!  I must not have fully closed it and it must have jumped off.  Does anyone know how long the dipstick is so I can check the oil level until one comes in?

 Just look down the tank hole. If its at least half full when warmed up your good to go till you get a new cap and stick.

Last I saw you can still get them from Honda.

Thanks for the replies and offer on parts.  I'm actually going out of town for a couple of weeks so I'll just order the dipstick, along with some other parts, so I'm ready to rock and roll when I get back.
