I had a great day at the Gilmore ride, around Gull Lake and Gun Lake. Its hilly winding scenic, good pavement. I gave the CB all it had but couldn't quite keep up with the ride leaders KZ900. Grepper, good to see you preride, I thought we would be in the same flight, but it didn't work out that way. Our leader was on the KZ, we also had a CBX, CL77, the turbo Kaw, Harley with sidecar. We met up with another group at the township hall that was about 10 bikes, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda plus one Sportster. After lunch, I went back to Gilmore with my Triumph pals.
Ther were lots of bike to oooogle. The gang of old Harleys was what caught my eye.

Also, my CB turned over 80k miles on the way home. :)

Kevin, I saw the red F1 and the Trident at the show today.  Those were both very nice bikes.

Sean, that red over black old Harley spun my gears, but I didn't even get to see it or hear it run. There's about 10 minutes at the start of the ride, when the flights are forming up, I get goosebumps! All the motors are vroom vroomin, I cannot take it all in. I need to do that more than once a year.

The freaking weathermen, they tried all week to talk me out of going, with the predicted 60mph winds and hail, thunderstorms, and it turned out to be nothing but sunny and hot. I almost stayed home.

I missed seeing and hearing your new ride, did you buy/sell anything good?

All I found were a few common spares, like ignition switches and points plates.  At one point I thought I found a K0 rolling chassis for $300, as it had some very thrashed K0 gauges and no vin tag :o, but its stamped vin showed it as a K2.  Lots of really beautiful bikes in the show.  I got pics I will post, but I left my camera at the shop tonight.

I will try to make it to the Stockbridge show in september.
