Resurrection of A 1972 CB500 - The Beginning
« on: May 26, 2016, 08:01:08 PM »
Hello,

I brought it home last night from Oklahoma City and the bike has so far been about as expected - except the fuel tank.  I will know tomorrow after the tank is removed but I think it is badly rusted through but you can see for yourself below.  The chrome is in good shape and the motor is not locked up.  Much more to follow as this 7300 miler comes back to life.

Anybody got a good CB500 fuel tank for a '72 model?

You can use the tank from a 500 or a '74-76 550K (nut not the F).
