Hello there

Where do you people buy good quality fuel line on the computer.

I bought a big spool of 5/32 fuel line from a hardware store that was closing and use that on my 750's. No clamps needed and should be able to get it at most brick and mortar stores.

Best you can get is Honda's actual 5.5mm fuel line. You can get about 26' (8 meters) of it for $56 USD from eBay.

I got 5.5mm fuel line from 4into1.com, it was fairly inexspensive if I remember, but the shipping cost more than the line so I bought a few more item I needed to save on that cost.

That looks like the best deal for a bulk amount;the junk they're running in fuel now destroys any low quality stuff right quick and it's hard to beat oem quality.

I get mine at a local cycle gear. Its the translucent stuff. Works well. You could buy it from bike bandit or cyclegear online as well.

+1 Small engine shops sell it. Good stuff, easy to route without kinks and no clamps.

I just bought some Tygon fuel line tubing, 3/16 IN - 4.8 MM Inside Diameter , at my NAPA Auto Parts Store.
Their part number 7-08151 . $1.99 ft.

I had some black tygon I got at my favorite bike shop. It wasn't correct for ethanol fuel and shrank down a couple sizes and got rock hard. I used a length to siphon some gas and it even shrank/got too hard to use. There is a difference. L0L!
Someone here had posted once about a bike fire and noticed the clear melts and burns long before the rubber hose does. Just FYI.

TYGON brand hose comes in many colors. Each color signifies a different use/chemical resistance.
The ONLY TYGON hose rated for fuel use is the clear yellow.

There are many vendors on ebay selling it by the foot.

+1 on the Honda 5.5mm fuel line. I believe I bought mine from 4 into 1 as well.

I tried some Motion Pro fuel line once and it lasted me about 2 or 3 months.

I ended up going for the 8m of genuine Honda for the 5.5mm (ebay seller) and mate this is tops compared to the fuel line I had on there.

For the 7.5mm I went genuine Honda again but I bought it by the foot from 4 into 1

The new carbs didn't run right so I put the standard one back on and I'll worry about the CR's another day.

Is there really any reason to use OEM/5.5mm fuel line? It's just a fuel-resistant rubber tube, high quality fuel line is available at just about any hardware store.

And you can put it on and and pull it off easily... If it hasn't sat for a few years..
You can run it without clamps and it doesn't leak..
It actually. Fits..really well
And it's smaller than all the sort of fits sizes.

I just buy the automotive FI hose that is better made than any stock hose yet not quite as flexible. Depending on the petcock size I use either 1/4" of 5/16" and have never needed a clamp or any issues with fuel degradation in the hose interior. This stuff is designed for high pressure modern fuel and is usually way cheaper than Honda fuel line.
The smaller petcocks on the CB350's and 400F's are more of a challenge as the 1/4" hose is too large for those ones.

Do you need a different size with the Tygon or was this for a different application? I need to get some new fuel lines for my 750 this week.

Slightly off-topic but wondered who sells oem spec. carb. bowl vent hose,you know the tiny hoses that connect to the bowl vents ? That stuff is black,metric and small and I can't find any.I'd like to find a deal on a bulk roll if possible..

I looked for quite a while, but was redirected to automotive wiper hose for my overflows....and it fits the vent nipple, too.
10' is just a few bucks.
Yeah, it gets hard over time if it lives in gas, but really...who around here has that sort of carb overflow issue?!?

I've had my set of bowl hoses for nearly 3 years. Ive used them to drain my bowls several times, and they have held up just fine.

Cheap black hose did not work for me. It did not cope with Shell V-Power fuel. Hose became very soft and got kinks blocking the fuel to carbs within a week or 2. No China made hose for fuel, its a safety part.

I searched for fuel hoses made in UK, Germany and USA. Found Gates Barricade for fuel injection and made for all kind of fuels. No problem with Shell V-Power. 6mm from petcock (old style with dual pipes), adapters for 8mm hose that fit my carbs.
I guess that all kind of fuels will make the cheap metal braided China #$%* soft and dangerous.

Yeah...there's no way i'd use the cheap stuff between my tank and my carb bowls....those sit in gas all year round. Tygon it is.
The overflows are a different issue, however.
If your carbs are right and don't leak, (or you're building a museum piece repro) who cares what you use for the overflow tubes
