I bought this bike several years ago, completely disassembled in boxes and finally finished it up...It had been apart and not ridden since 1976...Thanks to fellow member Swoop for the last rare few pieces I needed...

What a great job!
Is that my first 750? Where did it come from? What's the last 4 serial numbers? My first one looked EXACTLY like yours. :) :D

Beautiful! Love these bikes stock as a stove. Are the exhausts original or re-pops?

We could be like twins. Got this one from the family of the original owner some years ago. All stock and original survivor. One of my best running and my favorite color.  ;)

Thanks for all the wonderful comments, I do have build pics, but did not do a build thread as I worked full time and had many a long day in the last three months...This is a almost all original bike, nothing replated.. all stanley lenses and headlight. 7a carbs without a red dot. it's an original candy gold underneath the tank. I have all the original parts and bolts that were exchanged in the build...What is not original or was missing are the seat foam, seat cover, grab strap... the upper seat latch, grab bar &  rear fender, @ Thx Swoop) The foam was unusable, the fender had the typical rear crack. The side covers are new, the headlight bucket is from my parts stash. I replaced the bucket with a correct uncracked one and went with new sidecovers due to typical cracking and brittleness... I went with new handlebar switches on the original bars. New wiring Harness...Dumped a pile of money into it, all new wearables, rubber, tank trim, decals, spokes, all 5 wheel bearings, new petcock, etc...Had alot of fun reassembling this and lot's of  staring  at fiches...I disgressed from stock only with a few black wire ties(which I will likely remove), the repro harness and a stainless engine bolt kit...Thru a few repro parts in the garbage too when i saw them, like the emgo rear footpegs, what crap....Had to buy some little things like seat mounting pegs, one set of new screws for the exhaust guards. The pipes are super mint 341's that came with the bike and according to the original owner were replaced at some point under warranty. the bike did have most recall stuff done and had been parked diassembled since 1976...The seat cover is  from that place on ebay in florida for ridiculous cheap, and it looks quite good on top of a procut foam I had done locally...I did everything but the seat foam myself. Got some stuff from Germany, tank trim, swingarm bushings, Engine parts came thru Vancouver, Canada @ disaster dave...Got a bunch of stuff thru siriusconinc,vintagecb750 and cyclex

Did you do any engine rebuilding ? Some here have experience problems with a cam chain wheel from VintageCB750.

yeah I'm a lurker, no credit for posts read or bikes built....Motor only had 12000 miles, stock pistons and parts like cam chain...motor was exceptionally clean..Reringed, and lightly honed @ standard size...Pistons were like new..I used the vintage cb750 cylindar pucks inside the engine, that's it from them...I got the carb rubber's from germany and was disappointed to see they were a lil smaller in o/d...The decals,  are from reproduction decals, yet are not quite exact, ending round, rather then to a point....The overall up and down width of their k1 tank decal was also a lilttle smaller so I had to split the difference somewhat.I had 20 pics of the tank with a tape measure on the stock decals

Awesome restore.K1's are my favorite. Mine was originally gold, almost went with it but ended up changing the color.

Beautiful bike!  I have same year/color but not as sweet as yours.  If I had yours I'd be afraid to ride it.
