K1 tank decals
« on: June 03, 2016, 08:44:24 am »
Does anyone know what color the "wear a helmet, don't screw with nature" decal was/is on a candy ruby red 1971 K1 tank? White or black?

Yes.. just south of the filler cap. Looking further, it may be that in '71 Honda wasn't that politically correct yet. Its looking like the only decal (other than tank stripes of course) was a small one on the oil tank cover talking about type/amount of oil. Your thoughts please.

Sounds more like a novelty sticker.

K1 definitely didn't have that sticker. I believe it was first on the K2 but it might be K3.

I did some checking and found that some 750 K1’s received the preserve nature gas tank decal.

The original Honda 750 parts books from the era lists the tank decal addition starting at K1 frame number: CB750-1103001
