well, i think you bought a patch and you'll notice that is no longer there.

that was the original version of that particular design and i believe it is back from the greenspun forum days.  i'm sure someone will correct me if i've fibbed.

Its the 10th anniversary patch from when the original SOHC mailing list (pre-Greenspun days) was set up (1994). Glen was one of the founder members I believe. I joined the SOHC.dorje mailing list in 1999 after hearing about it in Oxford, England....a few years after this Greenspun was born and then after a while the Forum as you see it now. Im sure Glenn can give a more complete history.

Cheers
Andy

The 1994 - 2004 logo was for a run of shirts that was done with the help of Carpy in 2004 marking the 10th anniversary of the SOHC/4 Owners Club, founded in April, 1994 by John Soliday.  I am member #3 and took over the club a few years after its founding when John moved on to other interests.

More on the history of the club: http://sohc4.us/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=118&Itemid=139

Specifically the history of the logo: http://sohc4.us/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=146&Itemid=139

I've had conversations with someone connected with the forums about an updated logo; hopefully those discussions lead to something in a few months.
