Can I use a '76 Seat Cover on a '77 CB750 K?
« on: June 03, 2016, 11:01:14 AM »
The seat on my 77 Cb750 K is looking pretty ratty, but as far as I can tell, the foam is OK.  I'd like to recover it instead of getting a whole new seat to save some money, but it looks like covers for '77/78 are harder to come by -- plus I like the look of the low profile seats a bit better than raised seat on a '78.

Does anyone know if a cover from a previous year will work?  I'm certainly willing to reshape the foam if need be.

Thanks!

77/78's are of a different profile.
I dont think any amount of 'reshaping' would help make it fit better.
Have you tried finding a 77/78k seat in good shape for sale?
How about having your existing seat re-upholstered?

If you get the cover+foam then the base should work. But finding a used '78 seat should be a viable option. They don't command the premiums that the earlier seats do.
