RIP to the greatest ever. Another legend leaves us. Whether you like boxing or not, you have to love the man.

RIP Muhammad Ali.
I can remember watching Cassius Clay when we were kids.
His impact on our lives as the legend that he was and always will be will forever remain.
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

A great man gone can't say that he was a hero of mine in the fashion of Smoky Smith or Winston but a major luminary.

Yes, I agree.
The verbal sparring with Howard Cosell was priceless!

I've got to say I absolutely despised him when he was a fighter with him always running his mouth but once he left boxing the sport was never the same and in my opinion took a downward spiral once he left and that's when I started to miss him. His boxing skills alone may be debated as to whether or not he was the absolute greatest but when you add up his boxing skills along with his larger than life persona and the attention he brought to the sport he was without a doubt the greatest.

He was a great showman for boxing and could run his mouth like no other but almost always could back it up when he got in the ring. One of his nick names the press gave him was the Louisville Lip because he was from Louisville, Ky. For the most part I always liked him. Was shocked when he beat Sonny Liston and first won the title. And even more surprised when he beat George Foreman years later. No doubt one of the best fighters ever. Ali's image and career was almost destroyed however when he refused military service after being drafted in the mid 60's and was stripped of his title. IMO though Rocky Marciano was the best heavyweight of all time. He retired undefeated with 49 wins and no losses with 43 KO's  RIP Muhammad!

He moved to Berrien Springs Mi in 1975 and as a 'story' goes he walked into a Michigan motorcycle shop and bought a pair of Suzuki RE5 rotary bikes. Many years later a motorcycle dealer friend of mine bought an orange RE5 that came out of the Berrien Springs area.  He tried unsuccessfully to try and tie the bike back to him.  Last I know the bike went through an e-bay auction a couple years ago.
