LED license plate bolts — recommendations?
« on: June 02, 2016, 03:02:15 PM »
I had a pair of LED license plate bolt that burned out in under 400 miles...similar to these

http://www.amazon.com/Rupse-White-Motorcycle-License-Plate/dp/B008RIEQXY?ie=UTF8&dpID=41Tk53IAozL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=M65A0288RCPB5P5D2EQJ&ref_=pd_sim_263_4

Actually for $6.50 those might be the next ones I try...but I was wondering if anyone has a brand of these that they have had success with?

Those one specifically say "no resistors are required" I wonder if that was the issue with my set?

Do you use two or four, I could make a set that look like rockets with the plate between the 2 halfs. They wont light up though. There is a pic of them in a sale under new brake adjuster.

Then I'd say you have achieved exactly what you sought. Cheap equates to limited use or duration. By the time you replace 3 or 4 sets, and your time, you could have installed a decent set once.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S.
