Transmission shaft slot

Assembling cb550 motor now.. One of the Trans shafts has a cut out on the end cage that holds the needle rollers.

Does it matter the orientation of this cut out on the journal of the case?

It can be seen here in the box labeled 15.

Anyone know if the orientation matters?

Yes. Item 16 is a dowel pin that orients the bearing outer to the case. Should have matching holes in the bearing outer and the case.
