17/48 @ 5000rpm = 60mph+/-
'78 750K (F3 engine) PD42b's, Modified airbox w/K&N  filter, 40/110 jets, 1 needle shim, IMS@ 1 turn out. Kerker + Cone 18" QuietCore

I've thought about going to an 18T front sprocket, but i dont think i'll have that big of an rpm drop.
500rpm, maybe.  ;D

on my K8 (stock 15/41) with 130/90-17 rear 60 mph = 4100 rpm

When entering a highway I normally hit 60 in 3rd and then just shift it up to 5 th.  With stock gearing 60mph is around 5K. Headwinds and hills change that somewhat.

My stock K3 cruises at 4,100 in 5th at 60mph.

80 in 2nd gear is the only way to go!

+ 1 to what  Johnie posted 8) - my 1969 750 cruises at 60 - 62mph at 4,000rpm.
