thanks kev , thanks frank
they made two sizes of strings ,one was for a guitar with a twenty four and three quarters of an inch long scale length and the other type was for a twenty five and a half inches long scale length
the strings have a small metal cylinder attached to each end , one end fits in a slot at the nut the other fits in the trem . there are no machine heads and very little adjustment at the other end .
floyd rose supposedly spent 100million developing it , now it is an odd 80's idea that didnt catch on . does work well though ..... or it would if i had some strings

Does this link help?

Found this in the faq:

A: TO OUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS:  We would like to thank everyone for their patience and reassure all of you that we will keep the strings coming; the strings will now be manufactured in house at Floyd Rose HQ in New Jersey. Please stay tuned to http://www.floydrose.com and our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/OfficialFloydRose) for regular updates-- for those of you in dire need of the strings, go over to the Contact Us page, and select "SpeedLoader String Priority List." Let us know what gauge and scale length you need, and we'll make sure you get priority when the strings become available. Our projected re-release date for SpeedLoader Strings is August.
