Oil tank connections K2
« on: June 19, 2016, 12:40:02 AM »
Can anyone please help me?
Problem: I just bought a K2 from 1973, he is fully restarted. After  a short ride (some problems to keep the engine running) I discovered a lot of oil on the nearside of the motorbike.
I have opende the oil tank and I see that there are, next to delivery and return pipes, 2 other additional tube on the tank. Looking to the manual on this forum, one (the upper big one) is the " breather tube A" but I don't see anywhere in the manual what the lower/small tube is.

Can anyone tell me where this tube should be mounted to????? :-\

see picture (the picture is made from the other side and it shows the lower part of the backside of the oil tank.

BTW: I have already discovered that the Oil level is too high. Still PLEASE help me to find out the purpose of the small tube...

Thank you Edward!

Do you know if my engine ignition/running problems is related to missing of this hose? (the engine falls out when it gets warm)

I doubt the running issues  are related to the oil leak. Also always check your oil after the engine has run before adding more.
