Clutch locking nut Spanner
« on: September 16, 2007, 05:01:17 AM »
made a tool today to unlock the nut that holds the clutch basket on, i cut down a 7/8 wheel brace, just leaving 2 key pegs on it, so the "pegs" slip into the key slots on the side of the nut (hope this makes sense?).. i`ll post some photo`s when i get pix of it.
took me 20 minuse with a hack saw.
Worked like a charm with no effort at all.

I made mine out of a 1/2" drive impact socket (13/16" or 7/8") simply ground it down leaving two nubs to fit the nut. I've even used it on an impact wrench for stubborn ones. It's still in one piece.
