To put things in perspective, all EI's are but a switch in the NEG path of the IGN. You can brand your product with a posh Blabla & blabla name, even add the adjective Royal, but that's what they all are: a switch.
Then this: even the design I have used for mine, warns in its original manual that you may have to renew the plugs more frequently as electrodes may erode quicker. I don't know what most of you're after, but as far as spark energy, for our models, a simple transistorized device is plenty. The standard OEM ignition already was. Mike Hailwood won all his races with breakerpoints...
The task of the sparkplug is two-fold:
1. Ignite just that little mixture around its electrodes. The flame front will take it from there.
2. Stay relatively clean so it can continue to perform 1.
That's all to it.
