The stock tailpipe of the zx14r isn't the most flattering look for that machine.

I think the same could likely be said for most of the Kawasaki modern line other than the H2R.

I appreciate your comments and sense your concern. And yes I am aware of the limitations of a 350F and keeping it revved high for extended periods, and the consequence to the engine.

Where I live, what I do makes the bike i have chosen (350F) are perfect for me. I have a 750 that is being sold: I will not keep it. I will NEVER own a bike over 500cc. My plan is to buy a 500F and call it a day. Ill have my two bikes and thats it.

Im good.

Oh J, you say these things now.

But some day, you might find yourself in an entirely different opinion.

Happens to all of us.

That bike is hideous. I hate new stuff (except Bentleys and Lams), hate new cars, hate new bikes. old old old stuff for me

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and people who live in glass houses should not cast stones.  Some might find certain luxury brands to be gauche, as well, right?  I would not be so quick to disparage say a ZX-14R with indignities.   It's not my cup of tea, either, but Rickey Gadson might disagree.  It doesn't come close to qualifying for the ABOMINATION THREAD.

As for some "new stuff," I generally love its reliability and performance.

Besides, what is OLD for you, kiddo?  A 2005 Honda RC51? Everything is relative.

Maybe I was harsh but that looks like the wicked witch of the east bike when shes not using her broom

Iwill NEVER own a bike over 500cc.

I said that when I wanted a little bike just to get good gas mileage so I got a little CB125. Now I have my 550. And I'm in the middle of a 650 bored out to 674 with porting, hotter cam, bigger carbs, etc. to go in my 550 frame. But it's partially on the roads you ride. I have longer roads with nice turns and little traffic so it fits a more powerful bike. A 350 in NYC could feel like a 900 in Texas. And it also depends who you ride with, if anyone. I ride with buddies who have 1300cc Harleys (not certain on the cc but they're giant). It's all relative.

Regarding looks, I like how Jay Leno says he never trusts a bike he can't see through. I'm not a fan of all the plastic, but those things are amazing machines.

Both of those are A+++. Like I said, I prefer old bikes and old cars but those look OK. I like the yellow one most of all

There is something to be said about that.  Being able to see a problem before it becomes a disaster and all.

That yellow yammie may look small and old-fashioned, but I can guage by eyeballing the jugs, it is much more than a 500cc bike!

That yellow Yamaha is an FZ-09 with a custom body kit, can't remember which shop did the work. You can't buy it like that, even though a lot of people wish you could. I've got a 2015 FZ-09 myself.

The bike was part of their "faster sons" program, in which they appeal to custom bike builders for possible production bikes.  You can't buy the one off, but you can buy the production version which is the XSR900.

Correcto-mundo.  The mill is an 850cc triple.  Approximately 105-115 hp and 67 ft/lbs.  Roland Sands Design did the one-off.  I saw it side by side with the pre-production XSR-900 and a Kenny Roberts TZ750 tracker.  Airtrix did the paint on the RSD custom, and Roland's in-house fabricator did the aluminum sheet metal.

The FZ-09 is a ton of fun to ride.  The stock suspension is undersprung, but once improved (with aftermarket cartridges) along with the stock shock, the bike is EXTREMELY nimble.  It is 414 lbs wet with a full tank of gas.

Yamaha is innovating.  Honda's lineup has been relatively uninspired for some time it seems.

I do like the CB650F, but that isn't available in the US market.

I also like what Yamaha has been doing. I believe Honda needs to take note.
