Dipstick differences
« on: June 21, 2016, 11:03:25 AM »
Hey guys,

I lost the dipstick while riding the other day and am in the market for a new one.  I've got a 1973 cb750 and am having a hell of a time figuring out the differences between the options on ebay.  Here are what some of them are stated as:
1. 1973 Honda CB750 Four CB 750 H705. oil cap and dipstick
2. 1973 Honda CB750 CB 750 H648-1' oil dipstick
3. 1973 Honda CB750 CB 750 K1 K2 H591-1' oil tank cap dipstick #2
4. 1973 Honda CB750 CB 750 H590-1' oil tank cap dipstick
5. 1973 Honda CB750 CB 750 Four K3 H1094' oil tank cap dipstick dip stick

Any help in figuring out which is the right one would be appreciated.

There are no major differences in 1973  dipsticks that I ever heard of. Honda would not have been changing such a simple part that much. Probably  any from 1971-1976 K model are the same I think.
Searching part numbers on a schematic will tell for sure.

Probably all of those dipstick are listed by mistermonkeyclaw on ebay. He's a big seller and he's using those H.... # for his reference.  There should be no difference  if all of them are from 73 cb750.  77 and 78 models has different - plastic dipstick.
