Stainless Header cost $237
Stainless Muffler $160
Stainless clamp freebie  (Thanks Don!)
Total: $397

People have asked me numerous times how I like the Delkevic header, and until now I could not give a good response.

After having mounted it up on the bike I got to say I am quite pleased.  The fitment is great which is one of the features I like most.  You can buy the full exhaust with the Delkevic muffler for only $100 more.

I opted to go with the reverse shorty cone from cone engineering.  Now before my bike was pretty bad ass with the exhaust it had.  Now the thing rumbles like a true race bike.

It is loud for sure, but not ear piercing.  It was a fairly easy job with a 2 1/2" clamp and a left over saddle bag piece which I used to mount to the rear foot peg.  Barley visible.

Here some pics.  Video will follow in a week or so.

Thanks pretty happy with the way it turned out.  Having that 2 1/2" stainless clamp / bracket really made the whole thing work.  It was originally supposed to be for  400f.

I noticed the prices were a bit higher too.  O well.  Word gets around.

Sorry got to figure out how to safely ship a 400f engine to Texas.

It is really mean.  I noticed that the same exhaust sounds different on two differnt CB750s.  I never knew the engine itself makes a difference for the sound made.

It is not just the exhaust.  I will try to make two video what is sounds like my souped up cb750 and a normal cb750.'

There is a big difference in overall noise factor.

That is easily one of the best looking frankenstein exhausts I've ever seen.  Looks right.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

But overall you advise to get the CE over the stock muffler Delkevic sells?

I like the reverse megaphone myself.  For cost and ease of install buy it with the muffler for $100 more.  That is a nice clamp with some trick tig welding too.

I saw the muffler on a gs1000 and that looks good too, but not as nice as CE.

I have been running that same Cone 12" megaphone on a Cycle X Tri Y exhaust for a few years. It definitely sounds great, but I got a inkling to try  their 18" Quieter Core muffler and see what that does.

Forgot to mention that with the 12" reverse shorty mounted I will gain some ground clearance too.  I will be able to mount the c-stand stop up higher.

This the exact opposite of a Kerker where you loose clearance due to the C-stand stop.

I normal don't run with the C-stand on, but for those who must or like it something to consider.

This is the exact type of setup I am looking to put on my 750.  Do you have the part number for the reverse shorty cone from Cone engineering you can share?

Thanks.

It is the 2 1/2" cone.  I ordered through DCC as the price seemed about the same and was easier to use their website than make the phone call.

Sorry, but who is DCC?  Googled it but only found a circuit board company.

Thanks for your help.  Love the system and price seems very reasonable.
