Getting to the ROOT of the problem.

After lifting a concrete slab with a car on it..the sprinkler pipe under the ROOT finally sprung a leak.
So to fix it I took it out..the hard way... With a hatchet....
Good thing I was a lumberjack. In a former life, and know how to use an axe...

Note how close to the concrete I got on the left!
You can just see the white pipe at bottom left of pic, it went down about. 3 inches over 2 1/2 feet before it leaked....Didn't think it could stretch that far.
