Ignition Coils

Hello all,

I have a 1971 K0 CB500 and have ran into an issue. The original ignition coils we on the bike, but not attached as someone (previous owner) decided to cut them off.  I just put on new coils and despite my attempts to find where which spark wire goes with each spark plug I can't seem to find it on any schematic. Any helpful places to look or pictures of your own bike I could go off of?

Follow your ignition leads from the points (or electronic ignition). The blue wire feeds coil 1/4 while the yellow wire feeds 2/3. So the coil that has the blue wire attached to it connect its spark plug leads to 1 and 4, and the coil with the yellow wire attached connects to 2 and 3. Order of 1/4 and 2/3 does not matter since each coil fires both leads at the same time (one is "wasted").

Thanks a ton! Glad to have kind folks like you around! These schematics are only helpful to a certain degree.  I'm headed back to the garage to finish this out! Really appreciate it!

Happy to help. It does not matter which side the coils are mounted on either, just follow the blue/yellow:
