Topic: 78' 750 SS Carb lines

I have a question. Putting the carbs back on my 750SS and I have forgot where a carb rubber line goes. There are two lines coming off of #2 carb, one of coarse is the main fuel line that dumps into #2 carb. Just in front of that is another rubber hose, that for the life of me cannot figure out where it is suppose connect. It has a brass coupler inline with about 6" of line each way.

I'm not super familiar with the carbs on the 78 CB750F, but it sounds like the hose you are talking about would be a vent line for the bowls, connected to the carburetor at one end and open to the atmosphere at ther other. Any pictures?

It is indeed the bowl vent and typically routes over top of the airbox. There would be a small clip left of center on top of the airbox to hold this tube in place to keep it from flopping around. Typical of both the 77/78 K and F model CB750.
