Setup - Vintage Jardine Exhaust and CB750F1
« on: June 24, 2016, 09:42:51 AM »
Hi all, I have just bought a NOS vintage 1972 era Flat black 4 into 1 Jardine exhaust that I am going to be installing on my 1976 CB750F1.  Can't wait to get this thing.
This pipe won a dyno shootout back in the day! See attachments.  94.3DB! will this be louder than Yoshi style pipes?

I have Pod filters and the factory airbox with K&N and stock Mikuni's.  Rest of the motor is stock with 9.2 CR and near KO spec cam.

Would like to get input on what intake option and Jetting makes most sense.

Much appreciated
Bruce

You will need 4 spigots, 8 countersunk screws,  and 4 clamps..
My boss ddy ran that pipe on a 74, a tad quicker to hang my 72 with the Hooker 4-1.
Till the day I put 120 jets in and think raised the needles, then I couldn't him or stay even..
About 3 days later..we hit each other...and totalled both bikes..

Clearly a memorable experience, for you, sorry about the ending.  That was one pipe they didn't compare it to.

How did it sound compared to the Hooker?
Thanks

It sounded good from what I recall that was in 1975..
If you corner really, both of those brads will scrape..his outer lower pipe ended up D Shaped.. I think I know where that pipe is..
