777/78 F fork tube interchange.

Okay, I know the 77/78 hardchromed. Fork tubes for K models from 73-76.
What + need to know is, does the F models tubes fit into K legs...anyone know for sure?

I use cb550k 1978 tube in cb750k 1974 legs.

When you did that, the tubes were shorter.. Correct? Or same length?

they list the 77/78 tubes as being a little longer but work out to much the same height when assembled.bill

I used some 1980 cb650 or 1980 cb750 tubes into 341 fork lowers 73 to 76. Many will interchange.
As a bonus no top pitting at all.

Here is what they look like installed. Notice no rust! They are 1" longer too which will be nice if I ever want to switch to clip ons.

yeah longer than 73/76,somewhere around an inch,sold a local guy a set of 78 legs complete and he put them on a 72,did not change the front height by anything noticeable.bill

I have someone wants a single,I suggested a pair of late style.
I may have a single, but need the tube to check length.
