Charging problem troubleshooting. Rotor test.
« on: July 06, 2016, 01:42:29 PM »
How can I check the rotor on a 1978 CB550K. My stator is good and so is my field coil, they both ohm out fine. I don't know if the rotor is good. I hate to pull it if I don't have to. I still have to check my Voltage regulator and diode.

the rotor can not fail..if all ohm is ok..and no shots is faund use heighvolt test..heating all parts to 80 deg..then- regulator- viring- diodes must be thekked...
