Topic: New CB750 Chop owner

Hi there,

I've just brought a CB750 DOHC chop as a project. So far I've realised the wirings pretty messed up so its a non runner at the moment  and the brakes don't work, but hoping to get it all sorted and on the road.

Can anyone tell me anything about it? It looks like it has Suzuki wheels but Honda brakes?

Thanks for the advice, I've found the wiring diagrams but I find it quite hard to compare something on paper to actual wires. I have a friend who is better at wires than me having a look at them on Tuesday. Hopefully it's something simple.

Id like to renew the brake cylinders and hoses but without knowing what is on there now, it's hard to know what will fit.

Brakes look stock from what I can see in that pic, front master could be from the 90's, sport bike master cyls don't have mirror mounts, so that narrows the search.

Wiring is a system. If your bike has custom wires then you need to trace from point to point and take notes on what colors bring power to and from what. Once you map your bike you can then look at the diagram and note the actual color of your wires in a particular circuit vs the colors shown or noted in the diagram.

Calipers are DOHC Honda, wheels, and it looks like the discs are Suzuki...
