I stashed this a while ago and visited only once. The condensation in the container attacked the bike so we left the container door open until I rescued it today.
A bit sad looking but now it is not going to get any worse.

Geez, I hope that pair of porches on the floor had ample food and water while being stashed away. There are laws against that type of treatment where I come from

They do look pretty fat and fluffy, at least the doors are open so though can go pee now !!

She only put 3 things on the list of things to do while she is away.

The dogs won't leave my side while the family is away and are only half a step behind me anywhere I go. The dogs demanded I take them to work on Saturday cause they had enough of being home alone. It's Monday morning here now, so I guess I'll go to work and see what the wankers think when someone tells them I had my dogs at work on Saturday.

Yeh, that is a clean and pretty dent free fender, I would say that is a good piece and the surface rust

can be addressed on the body. The motor, disassemble and send to Nils to vapor blast and the cases will clean up, if he can cut through the oxidation on the cases it will look different than the lightly polished aluminum but you will have way too much polishing and sanding to get them back to polished aluminum. Cylinders might clean up if you slowly even out the edges but, that depends upon the corossion on the top of the fins. Sandblasting will cut into them too aggressively. Soda blasting wont do enough... but maybe it is not as bad on cases as it looks.
YOUWILL be driven mad by lots of wrong parts on the 305 or even 150 or 160 CA bikes. Toutuff had a new set of ca95 handlebars he wanted $70 for a few years ago now, He did a CA78 and it made him say never another.

That's the problem with fluffy/hairy dogs...you get them soaking wet to see how skinny they really are... those dogs do have the bearded Irish or Scotsman down pat with the long mustaches...

I just clicked on new replys which I don't do too often and saw this old thread and since I pulled the bike out of one mates shipping container I put it into another mates shed.

I got it running briefly using an electric wheel starter thing and decided I don't want this bike so I will get rid of it before doing any work to it.

Dogs are getting ready to go camping (sort of) tomorrow

Didn't mean to bring back and old thread was opening threads in the other bike category and not paying attention. The CA bikes aren't my cup of tea any longer but I like the cbs of that time... they can make a good fun bike for leisurely paced roads but these days you can't follow as close as most people in the city expect you to do or they put themselves in your braking buffer zone on multiple lane streets in their rush to get somewhere a few seconds quicker.

I'm lucky enough to have a CB77 as well that is in excellent condition that's why I have little interest in this poor old Dream

I agree with you, while the Dreams are okay and all, I am more for the CBs & CLs (250-305, that is). Super Hawks caught my eye, back in the early 1960's, when I first saw them start showing up here in Arkansas. The "Bug" bit me back then and I never lost my desire to get one. Got a pretty nice CB77 in my Garage, as we speak.

Not really sure where to find the instructions, can I get an assist? Would surely appreciate it. I went down to attachments, browsed, found the photo I wanted to post, the info showed, in the window, but would not post or do anything. What The Heck?

I've had this bike for about 5 years.

It's pretty standard except for the exhaust. My mate had Staintune make up 10 sets of these and it sounds awsome.

Glad I was able to post up a photo of mine, Scott. Yeah, my '66 CB72 I had, while in the Air Force, in Japan, had the slightly higher bars and I ran a pair of megaphones on it and I loved it. Wishing though, that I had converted it to a 305 though. Yours is Very nice! I have only had this one, since 2015.

She's a looker too Scott! Nice bike. Decided after picking up a CA95 project it wasn't really what I wanted. A CB160 would have been a better choice.

I'm also a fan of the CB77. I picked up this fine example in August. It had 2,500 miles on it (I've put a few hundred more on it0.

Five? I can totally identify with the logic of 1, not being enough. I had been gathering parts, for awhile, to build one myself. I was all set, to get started on putting one together, the way I wanted it. I had started mocking it up and little did I know, that my close friend, nearby, who is like a brother to me. had also wanted a Super Hawk, for some time. This man, picked up on a deal for one, went through it, made it right, enjoyed it and next thing I knew, all this time, his ultimate goal was to set me up with this Super Hawk. I knew he had gotten one and was working it over, but I thought it was all for him. So, now I have this Super Hawk. But now, I want more, so I will be going back to working on putting mine together, with possibly a little deviation here and there. So, I hope to have SOME Super Hawks, though not as many as you do. Nice little group You have there, By The Way.
